# For Parents: No Subscription Trap

If your student asked you to pay for an AI writing tool, here is exactly what this one does and what it costs. One-time packs, nothing renews, and no account to manage.

- Pay once, never renews

- No accounts

- Refunds on unused packs

- Free to try first

Remove AI Tells is a writing tool that shows where a draft reads like a machine wrote it and rewrites those parts so they sound like a person. Your student can try it for free with no sign up. If they need more, you buy a word pack once, starting at $1.99. Nothing auto-renews, there is no monthly charge to forget about, and unused packs can be refunded within 14 days.

## What you pay

| Pack | Price | What it covers |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0 | Unlimited scans, plus 3 rewrites a day of up to 300 words |
| Quick Fix | $1.99 once | 2,500 words, about one essay |
| Student | $4.99 once | 10,000 words, about four or five essays |
| Semester | $14.99 once | 50,000 words, a full term |
| Power | $29.99 once | 150,000 words |

Many AI writing tools start with a cheap trial that turns into a monthly charge of $10 to $40. This one does not. Each pack is a single payment through Stripe, and we never see your card number.

## How to buy for your student

1. Pick a pack on the [pricing page](/pricing/) and pay with your own email.
2. You get a credit code, like RAIT-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, on the next screen.
3. Send the code to your student. They paste it into the tool under Enhanced.
4. If the code gets lost, use "Forgot your code?" in the tool and we email it to the address you paid with.

## How we think about honesty

We do not promise that any text will get past a school's AI detector, and our [terms](/terms/) ask students not to use the tool for work where AI help is not allowed. Good uses include revising their own writing that a detector flagged by mistake, polishing drafts where their class allows AI help, and checking pasted text for hidden instructions. AI detectors do make mistakes, especially with students who write in English as a second language. Our guide [Are AI Detectors Accurate?](/are-ai-detectors-accurate/) explains what to do if your student is wrongly flagged.

## Privacy and age

- Users must be at least 13. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to make the purchase.

- There are no accounts and no profiles.

- The scan runs in the browser. Text sent for a rewrite is processed by our AI provider and is not stored by us.

- We keep the purchaser's email only so we can send a lost code back. See the [privacy policy](/privacy-policy/).

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Will I be charged again later?

No. Every pack is a one-time payment. Nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel.

### Can I get my money back?

Yes, within 14 days if no words from the pack have been used. If a rewrite fails, we put the words back. See the [refund policy](/refund-policy/).

### Is this a cheating tool?

It is a writing tool, and like spellcheck or a tutor it can be used well or badly. We ask students to follow their school's rules and not to use it where AI help is not allowed. It does not write essays from scratch; it rewrites text that is pasted into it.

### Does my student need an account?

No. The tool works without sign up. A purchase gives a credit code, not an account.

### How do I contact you?

Email [joe@removeaitells.com](mailto:joe@removeaitells.com). We usually reply within one to two business days.
